Chapter 76-The End of the Tournament

When Sami finished healing Jacob’s hand the tournament came back on.

“Now will the fighters for Cyan and Violet please step onto the arena for the finals greeting!” said the announcer.

The fighters for Cyan and Violet stepped onto the arena.  Each member shook hands with a member on the other team.

“Do the leaders for each team have any words?” asked the announcer.

“You’re about to learn that girls don’t belong in this tournament!” said Ryan.

“At least we have a girl.” said Ethan.

“Wow ladies and gentlemen trash talking about the lone female fighter!  How does she feel about this?” said the announcer.

“I’m going beat the loser they send at me!  All the girls in the girls’ tournament were way tougher than the boys here!  I can’t wait to see the look on Cyan’s leader’s face when I win!” said Sarah.

“You heard it here folks!  The girl has serious spunk!  Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the final round of the tournament!  Who will be victorious?” said the announcer.

The fighters for Cyan and Violet took their seats at the benches.  The first fighters made their way onto the arena.

“Fighting first for Cyan in the final round we have the energy sapper, Trent Leek!  And fighting first for Violet we have the long range fire guy, Chris Burner!” said the announcer.

“I’m rooting for the fireball guy here.” said Jacob.

“FIGHT!” said the announcer.

Chris jumped back and threw a purple fireball at Trent.  Trent was hit by the fireball and severely burned in the explosion.  Chris then followed up with another fireball.  Trent barely dodged this one.  Chris charged up a purple fireball, and threw three rapidly at Trent.  Trent dived to the side to avoid the three fireballs.  Chris threw two more fireballs at Trent while he was on the ground and Trent fell over unconscious.

“Chris is the winner!” said the announcer.

Chris made his way off the arena and back to the bench.  Cyan healers took Trent off the arena.  The next two fighters made their way onto the arena.

“Fighting second for Cyan we have the guy who makes you want to do the wave, Oliver Aichtooho!  Fighting for Violet we have the dark and powerful, Ed Darkword!” said the announcer.

“This match could be interesting.” said Jacob.

“FIGHT!” said the announcer.

Ed summoned a dark wave at Oliver.  Oliver summoned an Energy Wave at Ed.  The waves collided and canceled each other out.  Ed then reached out with a giant dark hand and grabbed Oliver.  Ed then had the dark hand lift Oliver into the air.  Oliver unleashed an Energy Wave to destroy the hand, but another hand came toward him and grabbed him.  The hand squeezed Oliver hard.   Oliver unleashed another Energy Wave to break out of the dark hand.  Ed then summoned a giant, dark tentacle to whip Oliver.  The whip dealt Oliver considerable damage.  Ed then summoned a lot of dark hands at Oliver.  Oliver unleashed an Energy Wave, but was only able to destroy a few hands.  Several of the hands grabbed Oliver, picked him up, and slammed him into the ground outside the arena.  Oliver lied on the ground unconscious.

“Ring-out!  Ed is the winner!” said the announcer.

Cyan healers began to heal Oliver.   Ed left the arena.  The next two fighters made their way onto the arena.

“Fighting in possibly the last bout of the tournament we have the Felix Behee from behind!  Fighting for Violet is the lovely Sarah Black!” said the announcer.

“I think the girl will win.” said Sami.

“Normally I would bet against her, but considering that I’m being held captive by three powerful girls I guess she could win.” said Jacob.

“FIGHT!” said the announcer.

Sarah began to spew her Aroma Breath.  Felix quickly ran up to Sarah and ran behind her.

“Back Buster!” thought Felix.

Felix hit Sarah in the hair with his palm.

“Crap!  I forgot her about all her hair!  It messed up my attack!” thought Felix.

Suddenly, Sarah’s hair tangled around his arms, reeled him in, and grabbed his entire body.

“Don’t you know that it’s a bad idea to mess with a girl’s hair?” asked Sarah.

Sarah whipped Felix over her head and into the ground in front of her.  Felix was dazed from this attack.  Sarah then brought Felix back behind her.  Sarah then jumped up high and threw Felix into the ground hard with her hair.  Sarah then came down on Felix slamming her butt onto his back at a high velocity.  Felix was knocked out.

The whole stadium including Sarah seemed shocked by her quick victory.

“That’s it!  Sarah wins!  Violet takes the championship in one of the shortest final rounds ever!” said the announcer.

Sarah raised her arms in the air as she pranced back to her team’s bench.  Ryan’s face was red as he stomped the ground angrily.  Felix was taken off the arena by Cyan’s healers.  Sarah wandered over to Cyan’s bench.

“So who doesn’t belong in this tournament?” asked Sarah with a smirk.

“You little…” began Ryan.

Ryan looked down angrily unable to think of anything to say.  Sarah walked back to the Violet team laughing.  The TV cut to commercials.

“Jacob…” began Sami.

“I need to use the restroom.” said Jacob.

“Okay…” said Sami looking down.

When Jacob was finished in the restroom, the commercials were over.

“Now it’s time for the single matches!” said the announcer.

Two fighters made their way onto the arena.

“First up Grey’s first, Roy Tornado from the Wind Dragon Dojo!  Against White’s first from the Ice Dragon Dojo, Hector Freeze!” said the announcer.

Ron and Hector shook hands and got into fighting poses.

“FIGHT!” said the announcer.

Hector fired an Ice Beam at Roy.  Roy unleashed a Null Flash to make the Ice Beam disappear.  Hector ran towards Roy.  Roy fired a Shining Blast at Hector.  Hector guarded against the attack without taking too much damage.  Hector reached Roy and began to hit him with a punching and kicking combo.  Roy had trouble blocking this combo.  Hector prepared another Ice Beam.  Roy unleashed a Null Flash while Hector was charging up.  The flash failed to make the Ice Beam disappear.  Hector threw another Ice Beam at Roy at close range freezing his entire body.  Hector used the Ice Break on the ice that encased Roy.  The ice broke.  Roy fell out of the ice unconscious.
“Hector is the winner!” said the announcer.

“No!  That was our last chance to look good!  He only used our techniques and he lost badly!  We lost the gems, most of my followers lost their blessing that protects them from adults, the dojos hate us, and the ones fighting with our techniques lost in the tournament!  Those Crimson fighters will pay for interfering with my destiny of supremacy!  They don’t deserve to be in the tournament after what those fools did to me!” thought Arthur gritting his teeth.

The next two fighters made their way onto the arena.

“Now, Orange’s first, Gary Shine from the Sun Dragon Dojo will face Ethan Plum from the Shadow Dragon Dojo in Violet!” said the announcer.

Ethan and Gary shook hands.

“FIGHT!” said the announcer.

Ethan threw a dark orb at Gary.  Gary dodged to the side and fired a Sun Beam at Ethan.  Ethan dodged the Sun Beam to fire two dark orbs at Gary.  Gary dodged the dark orbs and fired another Sun Beam at Ethan.  Ethan dodged and fired a large black orb at Gary.  Gary dodged the black orb and fired yet another Sun Beam at Ethan.  This back and forth trend continued for a while.  Ethan then charged up for a Dragon Wave.  Gary fired his Sun Beam at Ethan.  Ethan took a direct hit from the Sun Beam, but he kept his charge.  Ethan fired his dark Dragon Wave through the beam.  The dragon tore through the beam with ease.   The dragon hit Gary directly and pushed him off the arena.

“Ring-out!  Ethan is the winner!” said the announcer.

“Darn it!  I wasn’t paying attention to how close I was to the edge of the arena!” thought Gary.

Gary and Ethan left to their respective quarters and the next two fighters came onto the arena.

“From Amber we have their first, Isaac Gold from the Lightning Dragon Dojo!  And from Jade we have Larry Emerald from the Green Dragon Dojo!” said the announcer.

Larry and Isaac shook each other’s hand.

“FIGHT!” said the announcer.

Isaac began by throwing a Thunderbolt at Larry.  Larry quickly dodged to the side and threw a green fireball into Isaac.  Larry followed up with a fireball combo that greatly damaged Isaac.  Isaac threw a Thunderbolt at Larry in the midst of his combo.  Larry was hit by the Thunderbolt and flinched.  Isaac ran up to Larry and hit him with a punching and kicking combo.  Larry flinched from every blow.  Isaac then hit Larry with another Thunderbolt.  Isaac then walked up to Larry at pointblank range.

“Battery Charge!” thought Larry.

Larry quickly fired a green Dragon Wave at Isaac without charging up.  The Dragon Wave caught Isaac off guard and hit him and flew around to hit him several times.  As the dragon was hitting Isaac Larry said, “I learned a technique to absorb the energy from electrical attacks and turn it into energy that I can use.  That’s why I didn’t have to spend any time charging!  I still took considerable damage from all those Thunderbolts you hit me with, but this fight is now over old chum!”

Larry had the dragon circle around and hit Isaac multiple times.  Isaac was too overwhelmed by the Dragon Wave to do anything.  After taking several more hits Isaac fell to the ground unconscious.  After Isaac fell unconscious the dragon dissipated.

“Larry is the winner!” said the announcer.

“Since Crimson is not participating in this tournament there will be no more fights to determine the strongest fighter!  However, there is still one more single match!” said the announcer.

The next two fighters made their way onto the arena.

“From the Wind Dragon Dojo in Grey we have Gust Zephyr who didn’t get any action this whole tournament!  His opponent is Robert Bobble from Cyan!” said the announcer.

“Yes! Now there’s a chance of showing how good our techniques are!” thought Arthur.

“FIGHT!” said the announcer.

Gust threw a gust at Robert.  Robert threw a Force Bubble through the wind and into Gust.  Gust was knocked over by the impact of the bubble.  Gust stood up and began to fly.  Gust threw a small tornado at Robert.  Robert threw a large bubble at Gust.  The bubble ripped through the tornado, destroying it, but Gust avoided it.  Gust then unleashed an Air Blast on Robert.  Robert was knocked over by the Air Blast.  Gust then flew down to Robert and struck him and quickly flew back up.  Gust flew around striking at Robert several times.  Robert kept throwing bubbles at Gust, but Robert couldn’t hit him.  Gust summoned another Air Blast that knocked Robert over.  Robert threw another large bubble at Gust.  Gust dodged the bubble and flew down to Robert.  Robert surrounded himself with a large bubble as Gust drew close.  Gust then stopped and unleashed another Air Blast on Robert.  The bubble popped and Robert was knocked over.  Gust then hit Robert with several Air Blasts in a row.  Robert was being juggled by the many air explosions.  After the last explosion, Robert hit the ground unconscious.

“Gust is the winner!  That concludes the single fights!  Next up is the award ceremony!” said the announcer.

“No!  No!  No!  He didn’t use any of the Royal Fighters’ techniques to win that fight!  Now Grey will hate us for sure!” thought Arthur face-palming himself.

After a commercial break, Jacob and Sami watched the award ceremony.  When the award ceremony was finished Jacob turned off the TV.

“We would have easily won!  Crimson would look so good, but NO!  You and your mother just had to keep me out of fighting!” yelled Jacob.

“Are you okay?” asked Sami.

“NO!  I’m not okay!  I haven’t been okay since I was brought here!  I was fine before then!  I’ve told you this like a thousand times already!  When my friends do come soon I will go home with them and be rid of you and your stupid crush!” yelled Jacob.

“Jacob, I know you’re upset by the sudden changes that have happened to you, but if you accept me and my love I can give you back all of what you lost.” said Sami.

“I don’t love you!” said Jacob.

“Jacob it would be much easier if you just admitted the love you have for me.  Quit lying to yourself!” said Sami.

“Are you deaf!?  Did you listen to a word I’ve told you all day!?” asked Jacob.

“Of course my love.  However, I don’t think I heard you talking from the heart.  I feel in my heart that this is the truth!  Since I know it in my heart, I know it’s true!” said Sami.

“What makes you say that?” asked Jacob giving her a confused look.

“My heart doesn’t need a reason!” said Sami.

“Whatever, there’s no getting through to you.  Anyway, my friends will come for me soon and bust me out of here.” said Jacob relaxing on his bed.

“Your friends won’t be able to take you away!  Did you forget how strong we are?  They won’t stand a chance against us.” said Sami.

“This could be your chance to help me escape.  You could still live with me.  I think I’d allow that if you actually helped me out.” said Jacob.

“Jacob, I’m sorry, but I won’t let you leave for your own safety.  Also I want you to love ME not Lilly!” said Sami.

Jacob looked at the ground worried.

“How on earth are my friends going to save me?  These girls are the most powerful young fighters I have ever seen!  Ron, Max, Rock, and Shade don’t stand a chance.  I have to help them in any way that I can!” thought Jacob.

“Sami.” said Jacob.

“Yes?” asked Sami.

“I want to go to bed now.  I want you to stay up and guard me all night.” said Jacob.

“I would love to, but if they come tomorrow I won’t be ready for them.  I know!  I could sleep with you!” said Sami.

“Never mind then.” said Jacob.

“Are you sure you don’t want to?” asked Sami.

“I’m positive.” said Jacob.

“I guess you’re still shy.” said Sami.

“Sami please don’t fight my friends.” said Jacob.

“Jacob, I can’t make any promises.” said Sami.

“If you defeat my friends, I’ll never forgive you Sami.” said Jacob.

“No after I get them out of the way, you will be mine forever.” said Sami.

“I want to go to bed.  Leave me alone.” said Jacob.

“Okay.” said Sami.

Sami left the room.  Jacob had trouble sleeping that night because he was anxious to see his friends again.  At about noon on the next day Sami came into Jacob’s room again to find him watching TV.

“Sami, can I at least see my friends from the top of the stairs when they get here?” asked Jacob.

“I don’t see why not, but I have to watch you closely.” said Sami.

“Fair enough, you know I thought about it last night.  My friends are coming with help from the tournament.  If they bring enough people they just might be able to get me out of here.” said Jacob.

“My mother, Maria, Amy, our five outside guards, and I are going to protect you at all costs!” said Sami.

Clyde, Max, Rock, Erika, Lilly, Shade, Ron, Jack, Jason, Rose, Mia, Wynn, and Caroline all went up to the front door of the sanctuary.  Five boys were standing outside the door.
